Smart Press meets the needs of Champagne winegrowers.
Since 1989, PERA-PELLENC has been established in the heart of the Champagne wine-growing region. Being close at hand means it can provide appropriate, specific and responsive technical support. The experts at the Plivot site design and install pressing centres, as well as Quality approved programming control desks. The technicians carry out annual maintenance work. During harvesting, the after-sales service is provided by PERA technicians who are available 24/7.

PERA presses comply with the necessary know-how and strict regulations that apply to champagne production. Every model satisfies the conditions set by the CIVC and comply with the order n°2010-1441 22 November 2010.

TOUCH PRESS CHAMPAGNE PROGRAMMING

The operator displays the progress of the pressing process in real time, with simultaneous display of the various parameters. Adjustments can be made or information displayed at any time.

• Traceable pomace, programmes can be saved.

• Help with maintenance, diagnostics.

PROGRAMMING

• Normal mode : the automatic cycle runs in successive stages at multiples of 200 mbar. Pressure is maintained by programmed timings.

• Juice regulation mode : the automatic pressing cycle is regulated according to the juice flow. The pressure probe on the air side allows the staged pressure increases to be calculated, to compensate the juice flow.

• Optimal, Quality approved system, the smart programme from the PERA-PELLENC range. An electro-magnetic flowmeter measures the volume of juice run-off and the flow rate at any time. The automatic controller takes account of the properties of the champagne pressing (1st juice, fermented, size) and user requests: it adapts pressure and duration of stages and reduces the number of rotations and mixes, in order to achieve fermentation in three presses.

• Evolution option: pressing is adapted to suit the volume in the tank.



AUTOMATIC WASHING OF THE TANK

This automatic washing system, by the axial intake, ensures thorough cleaning of the tank.

AUTOMATIC SULFITE DOSER

• The automatic sulfite doser linked to the pressing function gives the winemaker plenty of choices for continuous sulfite addition to the must, choice of solution doses for the fermentation process and size, run-off linked to juice flow rate for the Optimal programme.
Touch Press screen displays remaining run-off volume and volumes calculated for the automatic controller. On the other hand, the link between sulfite doser and press programme neutralises the pump during mixing, power cuts or inadvertent stoppages.
